Guy Gloor - Chesilton LLC
Guy Gloor Ph.D. , President of Chesilton LLC and its principal consultant, has over 25
years of experience in the scale-up and production of fine chemicals and pharmaceuticals. Most recently Dr. Gloor was the Director of Early Development Engineering and Process Safety for Schering-Plough/Merck where he had
responsibility for reaction engineering and hazard analysis of API and intermediate syntheses. Prior to that, he was the Director of Plant Operations for Schering-Plough Research Institute with responsibility for all of
the research clinical API production and scale-up. He was a key member of the design team for Schering’s Clinical Bulk Supply Facility, a GMP active pharmaceutical synthesis plant located in Union NJ. Dr.
Gloor ran the start-up and qualification of the plant and was its first plant manager.
Dr. Gloor received a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Imperial
College London where he developed mathematical modeling and computer simulation techniques to study the thermodynamics of phase transitions. He received his Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute
of Technology.
